Wood Furniture

Whether you have an all-wood piece of furniture or a furnishing made of a mix of wood, manmade wood and wood veneer, you want to protect it from damage, maintain its perfect finish and keep it looking beautiful for years to come. Here are some tips to help you do that.

How to Care for Wood Furniture

Use a lint-free cloth to polish wood furniture on a weekly basis.

Keep furniture away from heating and air conditioning sources to prevent loss of moisture; and avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading or darkening of wood.

Use felt backing on lamps and other accessories to prevent scratches and gouges, and rotate accessories so they do not remain in the same spot all the time.

Use placemats under plates and hot pads under serving dishes and coasters under beverages.

Do not place newspapers or magazines on woods surfaces. The ink from these items may bleed into the finish and could damage the wood.

Do not use abrasives or harsh chemicals on wood furniture.

Should you scratch your furniture: Touch up crayons and markers are available at local hardware and home improvement stores in a variety of color packs. These types of crayons and markers are made especially for furniture and work well touching up most flaws.

How to Spot Clean Wood Furniture

To remove food stains, wipe up the spill immediately. Polish with a soft, clean cloth.

To remove cloudiness, rub surface with cloth dipped in solution of one tablespoon of vinegar mixed with one quart of water. Rub in the same direction as the grain until surface is completely dry. Follow with an application of furniture oil or polish that does not cause a waxy build-up or has silicones, such as Guardsman or Heritage.

To remove water rings, rub with a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and cooking oil in the same direction of the grain.

To remove candle wax or chewing gum, hold an ice cube over the wax or gum for a few seconds so that it will chill and harden. Be sure to wipe up water as the ice melts to prevent water spots. Remove as much of the wax or gum as possible with your fingers and then scrape away the remainder gently using the dull edge of a table knife. Rub the spot briskly with a cloth saturated in cream wax. Repeat if needed.

Some special wood series products have the 5 to 10 years warranty which covers manufacturing defects, inherent termites and borer issues on wood. Every product(s) have the Nemophilist brand name/Logo, Otherwise it is not valid for our warranty terms.

This limited warranty does not apply to the following

Normal wear and tear of the product over prolonged use.

Small cuts, scratches or damages due to wrong cleaning methods or impacts/accidents.

Damage caused due incorrect installation/assembly by the customer.

Cracks developed due to displacement of the product.

Fading due to direct exposure to sunlight.

Decaying of wood due to consistent exposure to water.

Upholstery fabrics such as seat covers have no warranty.

Non-standard dry-cleaning procedures or use of harsh chemicals.

As per the industry standards, unevenness of up to 5 mm is accepted widely due to differences in floor and surface levels. This is not covered in warranty.

Preparing For Furniture Delivery

It is your responsibility to ensure that all furniture items will fit through any access points such as doorways, stairways, hallways, elevators and around corners into the desired location. So that there is no problem in getting the product inside at the time of delivery. In such a situation, we will not be able to accept return or cancellation requests.

Certain items require no assembly and can be used as-is. For this, please check the item details. Wherever we assist with assembly, the carpenter visits will be scheduled. Most of the delivery case our service technician team will assist the products.

Our delivery professionals are not permitted to move furniture currently in your home, nor are they allowed to move or set up electrical equipment. To facilitate delivery, please clear the space where furniture or rugs will be placed prior to delivery.

An authorized individual must be home during your scheduled delivery window to accept and inspect your items and sign the delivery receipt.

In the event of any imperfection noted at the time of delivery, Nemophilist will replace the item or schedule a furniture medic or service technician to repair the issue at no charge to you. Contact us for more information.

Free delivery is only applicable for the very first attempt on a visit to your ship-to address. In case of a missed delivery, (from a customer) an extra visiting charge would be applicable for later installation. Our delivery partner shall only deliver the product to the ground floor in the absence of a service lift in your apartment. (if applicable)

Shipping & Exchange

We maintain a 14-day exchange policy. Should you discover a manufacturer defect or damage upon delivery, please notify our Customer Care Team immediately at +91 9400248143 with photograph. To process a exchange, we require the original receipt. A 10% restocking fee and redelivery fee will be applied to merchandise exchanged for reasons other than manufacturer’s defect or damage. Please Note: Special Order merchandise cannot be returned, cancelled or exchanged for any reason other than manufacturer defect or damage. Discontinued and Clearance items cannot be returned or exchanged. Before finalizing your purchase, please verify clearance measurements of doors, stairways, elevators and hallways. Nemophilist delivery arrangements to your home have been designed to ensure a zero-damage and hassle-free experience. Please contact us immediately if: You received a damaged or defective product(s), bring it in the notice of delivery personnel immediately at the time of delivery and report a complaint at customer care at +919400248143 / with photograph Damage & defect will be assessed in 72 working hours, and a solution will be provided. If in the opinion of Nemophilist, the product is broken, it may be returned/replaced, or any other corrective measure may be taken, as deemed appropriate by Nemophilist, to address the issue.

Third Party Materials

Certain functionality of the Nemophilist Interiors may make available access to materials made available by third parties (“Third Party Materials”), or allow for the routing or transmission of such Third Party Materials, including via links. By using such functionality, you are directing us to access, route and transmit to you the applicable Third Party Materials. We neither control nor endorse, nor are we responsible for, any Third Party Materials, including the accuracy, integrity, quality, legality, usefulness or safety of Third Party Materials, or any intellectual property rights therein. Certain Third Party Materials may, among other things, be inaccurate, misleading or deceptive. Nothing in this Agreement shall be deemed to be a representation or warranty by Nemophilist with respect to any Third Party Materials. We have no obligation to monitor Third Party Materials, and we may block or disable access to any Third Party Materials (in whole or part) through the Nemophilist at any time. In addition, the availability of any Third Party Materials through the Nemophilist does not imply our endorsement of, or our affiliation with, any provider of such Third Party Materials, nor does such availability create any legal relationship between you and any such provider.

Payment For Wood Interior

This merchandise(wood interior) is made to your specifications and therefore, we do not accept cancellations, returns or exchanges. A 50% deposit is required at time of placing the order; Remains 50% amount will be collected when the order is ready to ship. The 50% deposit will not be refunded for reasons other than manufacturer defect or damage. Due to the handmade nature of these products, dimensions can vary plus or minus 1 inches. Orders that include customers own material, cutting for approval or cutting to match are subject to additional lead time. All special order(wood interior) items have been denoted with an asterisk (*) on the sales invoice.

Returns On Special Orders

Special orders are submitted for production immediately upon order placement and are built to your specifications. A non-refundable 50% deposit will be taken when the order is placed; the remaining 50% will be charged when your order ready to ships. If you choose to cancel your special order item(s) prior to delivery, your 50% deposit will not be refunded.Once delivered, special order returns or exchanges due to customer preference or any other reason cannot be accepted.

Jurisdictional Issues

The Nemophilist Interiors are controlled or operated (or both) from the Kerala States India, All disputes are subjected to Thrissur City Jurisdictionand. And are not intended to subject Nemophilist to any non-Indian jurisdiction or law. The Nemophilist Interiors may not be appropriate or available for use in some non-Indian jurisdictions.
