We at Nemophilist uses first quality Rosewoods that are harvested from government-controlled forest(Western Ghats) in Kerala in accordance with sustainable forestry practices.
FIRST QUALITY ROSEWOOD
We use only the First quality solid rose wood in our rosewood furniture. Lesser manufacturers often use African rosewood(Guinea) or Unmatured Sheesham logs to cover inferior, less durable material.
We only choose logs with a minimum age of approximately 40 years and upwards to ensure the timber is of sufficient quality, whereas other companies use Rosewood which is only 10 years or less than.
A number of manufacturers use unmatured rosewood logs which is rosewood with imperfections and having more than 80 percentage of white wood(sapwood) in these inferior products, Stain is used to hide the white wood or left it as a white color in these inferior products (you can see most of the online furniture manufactures use this kind of Rose wood also called Sheesham wood) Be aware of such type of rosewood/Sheesham logs…
